Despite significant advances in Mass Customisation (MC), little consideration has been given in the literature to theoretical models of Mass Customisation. The objective of this paper is to establish a MC system model which can represent different MC strategies, calculate the system static complexity in this model based on information theory, and investigate the effects of a range of variables on the complexity of MC systems.
