Evolving systems, in principle, can exploit any tool in their genetic repertoire. This work specifies a computational chemistry consistent with the rules of Quantum Mechanics and a distributed artificial ecology that permits intervention by interested participants. A preliminary demonstration of two programs that use Quantum operations to authenticate one another is described. Competitors cannot impersonate the cooperating Quantum users without themselves using Quantum mechanics. Some limitations of this example are discussed.
