For the directional crystallization method, there have been made computational and experimental investigations into the effect of radial and axial temperature gradients on intensity of thermogravitational convection. Convective flow rates have been determined in a melt and in the vicinity of the crystallization front computationally, depending on a radial temperature gradient value. Dependence of intensity of thermogravitational convection on the value of an axial temperature has been studied.
