摘要

Hydrodynamic effects of concentration and temperature inhomogeneity in melts during crystal growth by directional crystallization methods are analyzed. These effects are established as a result of space flight experiments and numerical simulation of convective heat/mass transfer in melts. Is shown that the effects are connected with action on melt of small gravity and inertial forces. Perspectives are considered how to use the ideas discussed with purpose to improve Bridgman and Czochralski technique for single crystal growth under terrestrial conditions. Some recommendations are given on account of these ideas for design of new generation of industrial crystal growth equipment.
