A transversal and longitudinal motion of nanosized liquid Pb inclusions trapped on dislocations as well as a motion of free inclusions in Al thin foils were studied in-situ at a temperature of 720 K using transmission electron microscopy (TEM). Trajectories of the inclusions trapped by dislocations are localized around the dislocations cores. They show constrained 1D random motion along the dislocations, and their transversal motion is 2D chaotic vibrations. Occasionally the trapped inclusions break away from the dislocations and move freely along non-localized random-type trajectories. Analysis of the motion of free inclusions indicates that kinetic processes on Pb/Al interface control their mobility.
