Peculiarities of the non-stochiometry M_(1-x)R_xF_(2+x) phase has been studied by examples of BaF_2 and Ba_(1-x)La_xF_(2+x). The BaF_2 and Ba_(1-x) La_xF_(2+x) are of the same structural organization: the matrix with the CaF_2 lattice contains precipitates of 2nd phase, conceivably, of the BaF_(2-δ)F'_δ high-temperature phase in BaF_2, and unknown "particles" in Ba_(1-x)La_xF_(2+x). In both the cases, planes with the quadratic atomic nets are parallel to planes with the hexagonal nets, that testifies to possible genetic relationship between structural organization in BaF_2 and Ba_(1-x)La_xF_(2+x). "Defect volumes" display proper reflections in electron diffraction patterns in some conditions, but otherwise these reflections are invisible. Lack of reflections is concerned with specific structure of Ba_(1-x)La_xF_(2+x), which consists of two phases with the completely fitted lattices. A few anomalies of Ba_(1-x)La_xF_(2+x). (and, possibly, other non-stochiometry fluorides with the CaF_2 structure) can be explained by the specificity of this phase fitting.
