The present work studies the effect that both process and formulation variables exert over the detersive process on hard surfaces. The statistical design of experiments together with the Bath-Substrate-Flow method for evaluating deter-gency enabled us to develop detergent formulas for hard surfaces. The effectiveness of the detergent de- pends on the total concentration of the components in the washing bath and on the calcic hardness tested, which determines the optimal proportion of the components of the detergent.
