Since lack of design code for braced frame steel structure, one research Project named "Research and Application for Seismic Design of Steel Structure of Main Building in Thermal Power Plant" had been carried out. Systemic experiments and theoretic research for braced frame steel structure had been completed, and some theories about steel structure arrangement, connection and seismic design etc. had been gained. Some construction design for main power buildings of thermal power plants had been completed according to the achievement. Accumulating some experience in design and application. The achievement will conduce to promote the application of braced frames steel structure.
