Computer-Aided Dispatch (CAD) system is a key component of Dispatch Management Information System (DMIS), it deals with the dispatch information of running trains and give real-time control to them. The paper first introduces the background of the CAD system, and then briefly presents the meaning of object-oriented analysis and design. Secondly, the paper gives an introduction of dispatchers' jobs and their relations. Third, analyzes the CAD System by Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA), and then designs the architecture of the CAD System by Object-Oriented Design (OOD). Finally, the paper discusses the problems in constructing such a system, and gives the effects of its application.
