Induction motors represent a complex multivariable non linear system and constitute an important field of application for non linear control theory. In fact, induction motors constitute a class of highly coupled and non linear multivariable systems with two control inputs (stator voltages) and two output variables (rotor speed, rotor flux modulus) that are required to track desired reference signals. In the literature, many authors worked in the field of the control of this kind of machine. It has been shown that the used methods were not robust with parametric perturbations. In this paper, to avoid this drawback, we present a new control method using fuzzy logic controllers combined with the oriented field control approach. An induction motor is studied by simulation, to show the robustness and the easy of use of our method compared with an analogical proportional-integral controller (PI) method associated to the same field oriented control.
