摘要

Ski tourism is one of the dominant forms of outdoor recreation in winter. With the abundant resources and appropriate climate, northeast China has become a skiing paradise for many tourists in winter. It is obvious to everyone that ski tourism stimulates the development of local economy. However, to an increasing degree, low productivity resulting from the boom of too many ski resorts weakens the economic and social leadership of ski tourism. Also, the spread of the ski resorts led to a lot environment and social problems, such as crowding, pollution and waste. In order to solve the problems, this paper will employ the integration approach to the ski tourism resources in northeast China. The term integration as used in this paper refers to approaches that attempt to reassemble separately studied components to elucidate meaning. As to the ski tourism resources, the main objective of integration research is to make the maximum use of resources. Through the analysis of the present situation of ski tourism in northeast China, this paper will address two interrelated issues in ski tourism development: horizontal integration within ski tourism's component sectors and attempts at vertical integration between ski industry and relevant industries. Integration is increasingly recognized as essential to tackle complex problems more effectively, so this paper will provide the conceptual framework and integration model, aiming at the better development of ski tourism in northeast China.
