Profitability metallurgical operations are less than other industries despite the technical advances in the recent years. The lack of integration of metallurgical information at sufficient detail to act is a problem. Without such data, raw materials, variable costs, inventories, and grade cannot be optimized. It is difficult to determine economics without integration of raw material transactions, stockpile inventories, process flows and assays. This paper presents new tools that simply the integration of all areas of an iron and steel making plants. Examples to improve assets, equipment stability, fault detection and productivity are presented. Integration of all sections of a metallurgical complex enables production, operations and management to reduce operations costs, collaborate and innovate. A Real Time Performance Management (RtPM) uses unifying analysis methods to empower everyone in the organization with unparallel real-time intelligence, enabling them to continuously improve performance.
