Using treatment by physical and chemical mutagens on Tartary buckwheat seeds has obtained a new special purposed variety, named Xuanqiao Ⅰ. This new variety has advantages of thin husk and high content of bioflavonoid. It can easily be uncoated to produce Tartary buckwheat rice and also bioflavonoid health food. The reasonable development and utilization can promote the economy of buckwheat planting area.
