During the past 20 years, China has made some progress in buckwheat breeding, selected 20 new varieties of common and Tartary buckwheat. There are abundant genetic resources of buckwheat in China. But the research is just starting; the breeding methods are relatively dropped behind. It is important to search for different varieties to satisfy different needs for the customers.
