Although, some of us may choose to sit back and wait, or argue against wireless technologies in our plants, there are still many others who have been proactively educating themselves in order to gain the competitive advantage today. I compare wireless to where email was several years ago. There were many who were slow to adopt, and there were others who argued over its security, reliability, and even its effectiveness. However, in the end the benefits of increased productivity and cost savings were too much to ignore, even for its biggest critics. With so much investment going into wireless technologies today, and so much to gain productively and economically, like email, wireless is predictably here to stay.
