摘要

The characters of north-subtropical climate decide that the typical vegetation in Shanghai is evergreen and deciduous broad—leaved forest, which has obvious seasonal variation. The climate-based law for residents to go into the green space shows that, the people prefer to go into the gardens or parks for the beautiful flowers on the trees and shrubs in shining spring days, for colorful scenery of seasonal changed leaves and fruits in golden autumn, for nice and cool shade of trees in summer, and for warm sunny in winter. Following the natural characters and man's needs above, the landscape in Shanghai should be built with plentiful flowers in spring, more nice plant shade in summer, colorful scenery in autumn, sunny ground without shade in winter. In order to improve the seasonal variation of green space, some checklists of seasonal changed plants are provided, and some technical advice for garden plan and design is also given.
