摘要

Surface properties of fibers are controlled by the outermost 1-5 nm. The development of new surface treatments has often been restricted by the difficulty of controlling the surface composition on this scale. This paper will discuss the limits imposed by random sequential adsorption of material on the surface and how this limit can be overcome by altering the interaction energies of the surface groups.
