Since at least the mid-1990s there have been experimentation andrninstallations of ozone generators for treatment of air. The statedrnpurposes have included making the air healthier, fresher and betterrnsmelling. Later, other advantages were discovered such as savingrnenergy.rnApplications ranged from home air treatment to major commercialrninstallations such as airport buildings and hotels. Little was publishedrnon the subject because people doing the projects had reasons rangingrnfrom questions about the legality of the technique to protection ofrnproprietary information in early stages of a potentially explosivernindustry.rnWe at Eco Sensors, Inc. were early participants in this new businessrnhaving supplied over 300 instruments to the Dubai Airport in 1998 inrnwhat may still be the world's largest ozone air treatment installation.rnThrough systems integrators we have been supply monitoring andrncontrol instruments since then for many applications but particularlyrnmany of the world's major casinos. Meanwhile there were otherrndevelopment projects going on such as Alpine's integration of ozonernsensor/controllers in small home-ozonation units.
