Ozone is a major oxidant in water treatment and other industrial andrnenvironmental applications. Further development integrating ozone andrnrelated treatments continues. To many this is a new technologyrnhowever it may surprise some to find that this technology was beingrnused over 100 years ago. The history of ozone treatment and similarityrnto present systems and generator design is discussed in thisrnpresentation.
