The possibility of using high static pressure for directional modification of structure of peat and coal on macro, micro and molecular levels was studied. Organic materials (peat, brown coals, mineral coals, anthracites and graphite) were treated by static pressure up to 2 GPa according to four mechanical deformation schemes by five methods. Pressure effect (taking into account the peculiarities of mechanical deformation schemes) on the structural change and some physicochemical properties of these materials were clarified. Pressure treatment leads to nonreversible structural changes of organic mass properties. Efficiency of such a treatment becomes higher when pressure in-creases and especially when shearing stresses in a sample under pressure.
