摘要

Spatial connections appear often in steel structures; still the behaviour and the calculation process of these structural connections hide too much uncertainty. There are three ways for the determination of the main characteristics of a connection: analytical method, numerical method and experimental method. This study introduces the typical problems of spatial steel semi-rigid connections in such way that we calculate the joint characteristics according to numerical and experimental ways. In addition this study provides suitable FE model for the detailed analysis of 3D joints.
