In the paper Junctions of local ice pressures versus the contact area used by American Petroleum Institute (API) and Russian Maritime Register of shipping are considered. Through the original technique the problem is reduced to the linear programming problem. In order to obtain visible results, the criterion function of three variables (plate area and thickness, stiffener height). Structure weights are taken as the criterion function.
