摘要

In this research, the structural elements carrying multi-axial loading may have some cracks within the fields of effects of the multi-axial loading. These types of cracks will need special analytical study for investigating and predicting their effects on the safety of the structural elements. This research is applied for the brittle and quasi-brittle structures. The mechanism of these types of cracks is more complicated. This multi-axial loading may produce a loading field composed of bi-axial tension-tension loading or tension - compression loading or tri-axial loading. These loading fields may produce any of cracking modes with pure single mode such as opening mode sliding mode or tearing mode or may produce mixed modes tension or compression. In this study, a new modeling is introduced with the application of the new theory called (MN-r_p-σ_θ)- theory. The study considered all possible cases of the cracks under loading combination specially the basic problems in biaxial fields since it is the most common and the case of tri-axial can be derived from it.
