摘要

The impact of a fluid-like debris flow (d.f.) against structures is theoretically analyzed. Criteria usually proposed in technical literature to estimate the impact force are firstly reviewed. FEM analyses of the impact of fluid mixtures against a wall or a reinforced concrete (r.c.) pillar, according to simple geometrical schemes, material properties and kinematical conditions are then carried out. Obtained results put into evidence the impulsive character of the phenomenon and suggest the development of advanced safety analysis procedures. The back analysis of the collapse of a r.c. pillar due to the impact of a d.f. is finally carried out.
