Bending tests of composite girder with perforated rib shear connector (PBL) were conducted, focusing on its slip behavior in case of thick concrete covering, because RC deck slab will usually be thick in actual composite girder bridge. From the tests, following conclusions were obtained; (1) though quite the same concrete crack as the crack when the concrete covering was thin appeared also, the concrete crack did not reach the slab surface when the concrete covering was thick. (2) The maximum load of the composite girder with reinforcing bars became about 10% larger than that without reinforcing bars. (3) The effect of main reinforcing bars would be expected after cracking at the vicinity of the PBL hole. (4) Bending moment which splits the concrete covering would be produced by expanding force caused by running aground of aggregates after the cracking at the PBL hole.
