摘要

The optimal design problem for the layout of a slant-legged rigid frame bridge is studied in this paper. The inclined angle of the leg and the span ratio of the main girder are taken as the design variables with the constant volume of the structural materials and across a V-shaped canyon. In the static problem, an optimum layout of the bridge is obtained by minimization to the average of the square sum of stresses. While as a dynamic optimum design method, the square sum of the natural periods is minimized, which is not necessary to compute the eigenvalues. The direct search method is used to search the most optimum value under the constraint condition and the limits of variables. Some numerical examples show that the proposed optimum method is simple and effective, the designed slant legged-rigid frame bridge with the uniform areas is much stiff with good layout in practice.
