摘要

The HISTORY (High speed tube welding and optimum reducing technology) tube is new type of ERW tube which has higher elongation, higher r-value and higher n-value than can be attained in conventional ERW steel tube. These desirable properties can only be achieved by warm-temperature reducing. The higher r-value and n-value of the warm-reduced steel tube provides excellent hydroformability, especially for hydroforming including pre-bending or pre-forming. Furthermore, the warm reduced steel tube has a wider forming range without buckling or bursting. Therefore, greater stability and increased yield ratio are expected by using the warm reduced steel tube for hydroforming.
