Shielding works at final waste treatment plants are changing from conventional single-sheet structures to safer structures using double impervious sheets or viscous soil. But it has been desired to develop the repair grouting system for damaged double sheets. This paper describes the results of a laboratory test of a special asphalt emulsion-type material for grout, which can conform to ground deformations even after it has hardened. It became clear that it has extremely low viscosity for this type of material for grout, long gel time, and rubber-like flexibility to conform to ground deformations even after hardening.
