The subsidiary dam is main building of Huang Bizhuang reservoir,and its length is longest in all subsidiary dam of the reservoir in nationwide. Because the bedding split,split on embankment peak, seepage damage back in the dam, becoming marsh, decompressing well and drainage canal were silted up and so on,which became hidden danger that effect huge dam security, the project starts to be consolidated and perilous item began to be eliminated in 1999.Vertical grouped seepage prevention project on dam crest is one of main substance of consolidating project that eliminating dangers of Huangbizhuang reservoir,and its aim is not that blocks seepage of water,but it is blocking the passageway of infiltration damage affecting steady in the overburden under dam base. According to difference geological condition, concrete cutoff wall and high-spouting cutoff wall were chosen to deal it. In the interest of monitoring secure operating state of subsidiary dam project, by the specification, Huge dam security monitoring was designed and monitoring facilities were set up for monitoring index changing process in the construction and operating process of subsidiary dam. Moreover,by means of observing, data handling and analysis,In the interest of supply supervision datum, the monitoring data was supplied for he project operation administration and technique fruit was supplied for project security evaluation.
