摘要

The aim of this work was to study a process to reduce the toxic hexavalent form of chromium to its immobile and less toxic trivalent form. To reach this objective, films of a conductor polymer (polyaniline―Pani) were used under two different conditions: open circuit and cathodic protection of the film. The reaction rates were compared and the polymer degradation was evaluated as a limiting condition for future industrial applications.
