摘要

We assess the feasibility of fiber optic sensors as structurally integrated components for short-and long-term strain monitoring under rough environmental conditions. Geotechnical testing procedures at different scales and in various materials have been carried out with these sensors. Case studies include a static axial borepile test, borehole inclinometer measurements, and uniaxial compression tests at laboratory scale.
