摘要

A 3D FE-analysis of a deep tunnel through a short weak zone is presented. The weak zone is sandwiched between competent rocks. The tunnel is to be driven by drill-and-blast. The support consists mainly of shot-crete and rock bolts. The analysis takes into account the nonlinear ground properties, changing tunnel geometry and excavation sequence. Emphasis is placed on the arching effect due to the competent rock on both sides of the weak zone.
