The numerical simulation of the groundwater flow and solute transport in a dipole experiment in a granitic fracture is described. The objectives of the analysis are to calibrate the model and determine its parameters from a series of conservative tracer tests and to illustrate the practical application of the model for the simulation of radionuclides migration. The groundwater flow through fractured media is described by Darcy's law assuming an equivalent anisotropic porous model. The solute transport model in the saturated fracture filling material is governed by the advection-dispersion equation. A comparison of the field tests and the numerical results is presented.
