摘要

It is necessary to find the range of infectious concentration of SARS virus to instruct the operation of HVAC system since the possibility of airborne transmission of the virus and its dangerousness to people. With the proposed relative concentration definition of SARS virus in air, a multi-zone numerical study was carried out to find the concentration range of the virus in the air based on the typical case of SARS spread in a local hospital of Beijing, China. The result was compared with a filed measurement using tracer gas technique and good agreement is observed.
