摘要

Comparing with embedded system based routers, an innovative non-embedded system based router was proposed, the system architecture and implemented project were illustrated in this paper. This router made use of High-Speed Switching Logic unit (HSSL) to control bus so to achieve high data transmission speed in ultrashort time and showed a comparatively high performance-to-value ratio. From the data packet dealing flow, time-speed analysis diagram and comparable characteristics table between common system and new system proposed in this paper, we can conclude that this non-embedded system based router architecture will become the core of other network products and have a brilliant future.
