SIP Protocol in Softswitch has not defined its own security mechanism. The principle of SIP protocol in Softswitch is simply narrated, and the existing security problem in SIP protocol is pointed out. The principle and working mechanism of PGP(Pretty Good Privacy) is analyzed in detail. PGP security mechanism which is applied very wide, and has highly security has been introduced into SIP protocol, in order to meet the security requirement of SIP message transfer. The implementation of PGP used in SIP protocol is expounded in detail.
