In the quasi-two dimentional system the expressions of the self-energy and damping of exciton which are applied to both weak and strong coupling of exciton-phonon interaction are obtained by using the irreducible Green function method. Then, the linewidth of exciton absorption peak is calculated, where first order approximation on damping of exciton is used. It is found that, in contrast to the case that well depth is infinite, linewidth of exciton absorption peak decreased as quantum well width was decreased in the small well width. The data obtained in calculations are on the range indicated in experimental article.
