The epoxy bonded Tb_(0.45)Dy_(0.25)Pr_(0.3)(Fe_(0.9)B_(0.1))_(1.93) composites were prepared by a cold compression-molding technique and their magnetoelastic properties were measured by a standard strain technique. The Tb_(0.45)Dy_(0.25)Pr_(0.3)(Fe_(0.9)B_(0.1))_(1.93) compound was mixed with an epoxy resin at different proportions under different pressures to optimize the magnetostrictive properties. The Tb_(0.45)Dy_(0.25)Pr_(0.3)(Fe_(0.9)B_(0.1))_(1.93) composites, with a weight ratio of epoxy resin to powder of 5:1:00, have a high magnetostriction of 510 ppm, at an applied magnetic field of 12 kOe. The density, varying with different proportions and compaction pressures, was reported as well.
