摘要

Surface nanocrystallization by shot peening (SP) in martensite steels and Ti-6Al-4V alloy was investigated. In both alloys, nanocrystalline (NC) layers, several μm thick, were successfully produced. The structure and annealing behavior of NC layers formed in the Ti-6Al-4V alloy were similar to those observed in steels. It was found that there is a maximum hardness of specimen to form NC structure by SP.
