The (Cu_(0.6)Hf_(0.25)Ti_(0.15))_(98)M_2 (M = Mo, Nb and Ta) alloys can be synthesized in a bulk glassy form with maximum diameters of 1.5 - 4 mm by copper mold casting. By substitution of 2 at% Mo, Nb or Ta for the Cu-Hf-Ti alloy, the corrosion rates decrease to 1/2 in 1 N HCl solution and two orders of magnitude in 3% NaCl solution. The Young's modulus (E), compressive fracture strength (σ_(c,f)) and compressive plastic strain (ε_(c,p)) for the 2 at% Nb alloy are 128 GPa, 2305 MPa and 1.3%, respectively.
