The bond between FRP and concrete substrate can be significantly deteriorated by the moisture at adhesive layer and bond interface region. Therefore, structural safety and reliability of FRP strengthened concrete structures is directly correlated to the quantity and distribution of moisture at adhesive layer and bond interface region. In this study, diffusion of moisture in adhesively bonded FRP-concrete is studied analytically. The close-form solutions for diffusion in concrete and FRP substrate are based on the classical theory of diffusion and are used to derive equation in two-dimension section. In the analysis, the constant diffusion coefficients and constant surface evaporation coefficients are adopted for the diffusion of moisture in FRP and adhesive layer respectively. The solution is obtained applying the method of separation of variables to the diffusion partial differential equation associated with the surface evaporation boundary conditions and the moisture flux continuum conditions at the bond interface. The solution is of the form of a coupled infinite series in the two space dimensions with an exponential time dependency and in the case of two-layer composite beam, expressions are given in a form suitable for desk calculations.
