摘要

Increasing traffic accidents has gained world-wide attention, in which the effect of road conditions are a key factor recognized widely. With a large amount of traffic accidents data surveyed from Shenda Freeway, Harbin City and other regions, the effects of road condition, including horizontal alignment, vertical alignment and cross section, is investigated and analyzed systematically so as to detect its corresponding effect on road accident and develop reasonable range of curve radius and angle of deflection. For countermeasures, the viewpoint is put forward that high subgrade and steep slope are potential effect factor to traffic safety, which is especially common and generally ignored in high-class highways in China. The suggestions of design parameters are put forward to revise the current design criteria as well as the 85~(th) percentile speed control measure for safety consideration.
