摘要

In this paper an automatic system for thermocouple inhomogeneity detection is presented. The same system can be used for measurement of immersion profiles of SPRTs in fixed-point cells. It is a flexible portable system that enables accurate and reproducible measurements, even when a great number of repetitions and long measurement periods are required. Also the workload on the operator performing such measurements is significantly decreased. The main part of the system is based around a microcontroller, which controls the stepper motor for carriage movement. It is also used for communication with a PC computer, where a custom written software in Lab VIEW serves as a user interface. Due to its design, the system can be used for performing measurements either vertically or horizontally. This way the system can take advantage of the existing equipment in the laboratory. It can easily be mounted on different baths and furnaces. The measurement results of thermal emf for inhomogeneity detection are presented for different heat sources such as water bath, oil bath and heat-pipe furnace. Measurements of immersion profile were performed in a triple point of water fixed-point cell.
