摘要

Repeated fatigue cycles of the PET fiber that has an effect on PET internal structure were investigated. It has observed the change of amorphous structure by the effect of ammonia water namely; there was no degradation of crystalline area. On the other hand, physical properties were hardly changed by the repeated fatigue cycles. Fatigue resistance tended to be increased with the twist, while the cord strength decreased. By tilting the individual filaments on the yarn axis twisting changed yarn properties. The cord-modulus, dimensional-stability, stress-amplification, and retroactive-force trends are comparable to those of the precursor yarns, indicating that the yarn morphology yielding these properties is maintained in tire-cord form.
