摘要

Based on the TM image of satellite in the mid - 1980s and end of 1990s, the paper analyzed the features of vegetation coverage and its changing rule, also the features of some environment problems such as desertification and soil and water loss. The conclusion was made as: 1) The ecological environment had been significantly improved, the vegetation coverage was increased, 2) The harm of sand storm was reduced, the sand belt in Huangpuchuan, Jilu river and Wulanmulun river of Kuyehe became steady, 3) Providing the image information and analyzed data for laying out the soil and water conservation plan of contiguous region of Shaanxi, Shanxi, and Inner Mongolia, and providing scientific base for lunching the ecological environment investigation in this area by means of remote sensing.
