摘要

Philosophy related social science, like two wheels of a cart and two wings of a bird as pointed out by President Hu Jintao are as important as natural science. As such conclusion is also applied to Yellow River harnessing field, it is necessary to attach great importance to the development of philosophy related social science in the cause of Yellow River harnessing to realize the historical task of "keeping healthy life of the Yellow River". The wide applications of philosophy related social science to guidelines of Yellow River harnessing, strategic research, management of Yellow River harnessing course, social evaluation of projects, treatment of Yellow River according to law and propaganda work etc. provide strong support in thoughts, spirits and wits to the development of various causes. Since the time of harnessing Yellow River, remarkable achievements have been made in the field of philosophy related social science by Yellow River Conservancy Commission such as establishment of the guiding status of Marxist philosophy; studying strategic problems of Yellow River harnessing with the notion of social science; great enhancement of legal consciousness of Yellow River harnessing teams; establishment of media system composed of newspaper, net magazine and television. Remarkable results have been achieved in the research on water history. However, what is more wanted for philosophy related social science of Yellow River Conservancy Commission is shown in the following aspects: lack of scientific development program; lack of inspiration mechanism; kck of subject bellwether and lack of propaganda base. Measures taken for the further prosperity and development of philosophy related social science are: unalterably using Marxist philosophy to guide Yellow River practice; establishing subject program; setting up initiation mechanism; building propaganda base and training a colony of subject bellwether. Overall, philosophy related social science is an important part in Yellow River harnessing cause and if such cause could be developed quickly, it would hover like having a pair of forceful wings in the sky in promoting Yellow River harnessing and development and management modernization.
