The ecosystem of the Yellow River is an organism in which aquatic lives in the Yellow River interact with the inorganic environment where they live; according to the ecological and environmental status in the Yellow River Basin area, this paper identifies ecological subarea and ecological protection objective of river channels, illustrates the ecosystem characteristics of the Yellow River Basin. It also makes preliminary analysis of the relation among important ecological protection objectives such as mesophytia succession in lower reach of the Yellow River, diversity of birds and water resources of the Yellow River.
