摘要

The bottomland at the downstream of Yellow River can drain floods, detain flood and deposit sand and thus embody a huge flood - control benefits. There is a great deal of population living in it and the farmland of 250, 000 hm~2. During the test of water and sediment regulation from 2002 to 2003, although the flow rate was lower than the flood-transportation capacity of river course, some floodplains were still submerged. Comparing the advantages and disadvantages at different floodplain, it should continue to restrict the development of farming dyke at the downstream floodplain so as to ensure the sand depositing benefits in flood; strengthen the safety construction at the floodplain to ensure the life and property safety of the mass during flood. At the same time, measures such as water and sediment regulation, warping by Yellow River water, river channel dredging and random ditches warping and bank - side rivers filling shall be taken under plan to increase the elevation gap between floodplain and the river whereby to improve the transportation capacity to flood and sand in the downstream of Yellow River, thus decrease the frequency of overflowing.
