Since 1970s, the "secondary suspended river' in the Yellow River lower reaches has gradually developed. Its protruding seriousness was shown in the first experiment of water and sediment regulation in 2002. So the "secondary suspended river" training experiment was carried out in the reach from Nanxiaodi to Penglou in Puyang City by Yellow River Conservancy Commission (YRCC). In this article, engineering design and construction are introduced. The main results and effects achieved are analyzed. References are supplied for the large - scale training of " secondary suspended river in the future.
