摘要

The greatly decreasing inflow of water and sediment and the intervention of human activity to natural form of downstream river led to some protruding problems, such as the downstream main river channel depositing and shrinking, " secondary - suspended river growing, river regime wandering, safety of floodplain under threatening. Seeing that the water quantity into the downstream continues diminishing, work should be done less on runoff and width regulation. Owing to steep gradient and inflow of a large quantity of sediment in the wandering river section, it is hard to form steady narrow deep river channel and harness the winding river reach. To regulate both sides of the YR becomes one of the regulation schemes. The YR lower reach should be harnessed through water and sediment regulation combining river course fathering to form narrow deep river channel, to reach the aim of steady flowing way, discharging flood and sediment high - efficiently and no rising riverbed.
